Thought I would share some fun color inspiration today. I’m loving gold lately, thinking this might be the new trend coming, gold glitter and gold foil, what do you think? Want to create a sophisticated but classic feel to your wedding, a gold and navy color combination would work perfectly. Check out more inspiration boards like this one over at Fab Mood. They have a ton of great color ideas for any wedding. And of course the invitation design in this board was created by us at Jeneze Designs.
I’ve been a little MIA on the blog lately, I need to get back to it. Spring and summer weddings are upon us, I’ve been busy busy working on lots of beautiful invitations for many new engaged couples. It’s been a lot of fun helping new brides and grooms with their special day. I love what I do, I think I have the greatest job there is!
Because I’ve been so focused on fulfilling orders I don’t have many new designs to share so I thought I would just offer a quick Thank you today. So Thank you everyone, thank you to all my customers, old and new, thank you to all who support me! Here is a fee printable for you. This small design is a 3×5″ spring “thank you”, free for any one who would like to use it, simply save the image to your pc, tablet or phone. Print at home or upload the image to print on a 3×5″ flat or folded card.
Looking for more free Wedding Printables, I found some really cute ones over at Bridal Musings. Lots of fun things so be sure to check it out. Happy Monday!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Hope your day is filled with luck and love! Thought I would share some green and gold design inspiration for your wedding today, enjoy!
Last week I mentioned an invitation design that had turquoise that is currently my most popular design. Today I thought I would share that very design, just with different colors. This is the invitation set that I did for Sally and Tim. I love the color combination of the mint blue and the lavender. Everything came together so perfectly in these silver pocket envelopes.
Planning a wedding, having a wedding and then going on a honeymoon is all a lot of work and a lot of craziness. But after it’s all said and done don’t forget to say “thank you”. It’s likely that your entire wedding event did not happen just because of you. Many people get involved with weddings, from family, to friends and wedding vendors. I hope you don’t forget to tell those important people in your life “thank you for the help” or “thank you for being there” or “thank you for the gift”. Whatever it may be those thank you’s will be greatly appreciated.
At Jeneze Designs we love sending thank you cards with photos from the wedding, guests love this personal memento from the event, something to be treasured for years to come. Of course any type of thank you card would work just fine. Need help with what kind of thank you to offer, this post from Brides.com has some very helpful advice on what to say. And need some ideas on how to say thank you, check out this post from the Bridal Guide.
There are so many fun different ways to say “thanks” like a cute note on the dinner place setting, take a fun photo at the wedding using props like the one below that I found on Etsy.
Once you figure out what and how you want to say “thank you” just be sure you do, it will mean so much to the people who were a part of your special day!
Drawing some inspiration from color today. The most popular or most pinned invitation set I have on my site is a grey and Tiffany blue design, but I wanted to create something fresh and new with this color. I think it might be popular again this year, I have gotten a lot of requests for it so far.
I found this fun color inspiration board on pintrest and decided to create a set to match.
I kept the overall design pretty simple so the the colors would pop. I loved the glitter heart I saw in the inspiration board so I decided to use that idea in the invites too. This invite would also be fun in a pocket card in a blue color or white. The set is complete with invitation, engagement photo, response card, information card and belly band.
If you love pintrest and use it to plan your wedding? Share your board with us and we will create the perfect wedding invitation set just for you!
One question that I get asked quite often is if I can change the colors on my existing invitation designs that you see in my gallery. The answer is an absolute YES, of course you can. We not only create all of our designs but we personally edit each one to work perfectly for you. So if you see a design that has grey but want it to be pink, then no problem, we can make it pink. Plus we can change font styles too, fonts can make a big difference in the overall look of the design, that’s why we provide a list of options and offer professional advice on what will work well together. I may need to save a blog post about fonts another day. But I wanted to show a few samples of color changes in one design.
In the photo invitation below you can see that the overall look and layout is the same but colors and font styles have been changed. The design for Haley in the bottom right corner was clean and simple with neutral colors. The photo to the left for Whitney was designed with her wedding colors in mind using blue and yellow. The top two designs I used colors that would compliment the photos nicely. Sometimes your designer may want to see your photos and lay everything out to see if some colors would work better than others and when we see a different option that we think works better we will send you proofs of those different options so you can decide what you like best.
The typography invitation set below also shows some changes in color and fonts. The design on the far right for Jeni was customized to her taste in font style, something a little more modern and fun. However this type of invitation style won’t work well with some fonts such as cursive fonts for example. The all caps font is what gives it the overall look and style, a cursive font would throw off the spacing and words would not fit as uniform as they are.
Hopefully this post provided some more detailed information on color changes to your wedding invitations. But if you have any questions you can always contact us, we are happy to help.
Every order we design gets proofs sent directly to your email within 1-2 business days. That way you can look everything over, make sure the colors are right and see if what you picked out is what you wanted. If not, we can fix it so it is what you wanted. Our store is also set up so you don’t have to order a design that we already created, you can combine several invitations into one or we can create something from scratch, exactly what you want. If you do order a 100% custom design we will send multiple options so you can tell us what you like and don’t like and we narrow things down until it is perfect.
Inspiration for my wedding invitation designs comes from all over the place. If I get a custom order I love being able to create something new, my customers inspire me with not only their photos but their wedding plans and ideas. I also love looking at wedding blogs, instagram pages and websites to see what the trends are and I love the endless possibilities. I’ve been seeing a lot of outdoor and rustic wedding photos on blogs lately, thought I would create a new tri-fold invitation design to fit in with the trend. I found some of my inspiration from this camp wedding over at Green Wedding Shoes. Check it out if you are looking for some inspiration for your outdoor wedding. I also love what I can find by a simple pintrest search. Share your ideas with us, we will create the perfect wedding invitation set for you!
Sometimes I like to browse instagram, pintrest and other blogs and I often come across wedding ideas that I absolutely LOVE, like this super cute DIY wedding cake idea posted on Green Wedding Shoes a few weeks ago. Sometimes things get missed but I’m glad I saw this one, it’s so pretty and looks like it could be easy to put together. The blog post says the flowers are silk, which is crazy to me, they look like sugar flowers or even real ones, so awesome that they are silk because that’s what makes it a real possibility of doing it on your own and looks like it wouldn’t take much time. Check out the Green Wedding Shoes blog for more details by clicking the image below. Happy Friday!
Last week I had a customer request a wedding invitation to look like an airline ticket. I’m so happy she did because I’ve been wanting to create a design that had a travel or destination theme. Her wedding isn’t for a few months so I did change the information in this sample and changed up the colors a little bit so it isn’t exactly hers. She will however be having a beach wedding so I kept the starfish in there to give it a beachy look. This invitation set is perfect for those destination beach weddings, but I can of course change the elements to fit any destination, it would be cute to maybe put in some mountains for a rocky mountain wedding or some vintage elements for a European wedding. So many fun things we could do.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be at the beach right now though? I hope winter doesn’t last too much longer this year, I like being outside and being at the beach sounds amazing! I’m sure everyone on the east coast is ready for some warmer weather. See this design and more on my website, www.jeneze.com or click on the image below.
