New Holiday and Christmas Save the Dates for 2016

I’ve had so much fun with these save the dates the last few years.  Customers love being able to say “Merry Christmas” and “save the date”.  And the great thing about it too is that they can be used for any wedding coming up at any time of year.  I also love that all of my designs include engagement photos.   I’ve also tried to make these new options more versatile based on feedback last year.  I got a lot of people asking for just a single-sided card or design to print on a magnet, totally love that idea, especially for the holidays.  And I’m also offering some pressed foil options this year.  Foil has been extremely popular with wedding paper this year, I’ve compared my prices and they can’t be beat.  So if you want foil, I’ve got it, and it comes in several color options too.

Don’t love what you see but have your own ideas?  Custom design is always an option.  Share your ideas and I will create the perfect save the date or invitation suite for you!

Now is the perfect time to get your cards ordered, have them in hand before Thanksgiving and pass them out to family and friends when you see them during the holiday.  Not quite ready to order yet?  No worries, we will be taking orders any time before the new year!

I originally designed this pattern in gold but I really love the silver. Every part was arranged piece by piece to give it a unique and delicate look.  Of course the color can be changed if you want something different or to match your photos.

I wanted to use some plaid but didn’t want it to be a bold red and black so I created this with a grey overlay and love the way it looks like it has texture to it like flannel.  This one would be so adorable as a magnet.

sd0111

I’ve been loving purple as a holiday color this year, it is paired perfectly with some natural greens, pretty watercolor stems make up the wreath.  This one would also look very nice on a magnet.  I have 4×6″ and 5×7″ options available.

sd0112

A different option using the same wreath but with a navy blue, it gives the design a nice little pop and I love the cursive font.

Now we are getting into some pressed foil options.  Pressed foil is different from just a foil print.  If you want real foil pressed into the paper, not a foil ink, be sure to order your cards with us.  This design has a splash of foil at the bottom, you can choose any color, choose what would work best with your photos.  Not sure what would look right, we always provide proofs before printing so you can be sure that you like it before you order.

If pressed foil isn’t in the budget, any of our designs can be ordered as a classic print, keeping the colors the same.

sd114

This one has some red foil dots combined with a plaid on the back, I love the option of being able to use multiple photos.

sd115-foil

This one is really pretty with the pine branches and splashes of water color.  The “joyful” is pressed foil in silver, would also be very pretty in gold or red.
sd0116

This design is based on another similar design I have but I wanted to incorporated the pressed foil.  Silver snowflakes around the edges give it the perfect winter and holiday look, the fonts give it a little extra whimsy and fun!

sd117-foil

How about some southern charm with the watercolor option.  The wreath on the front is pressed foil in silver.  If your photos don’t have a winter or holiday look this design is the perfect option, the watercolor design in the background can be adjusted to any color desired.

Goodbye May – Hello June Weddings!

You know it’s wedding season when there is a serious lack of blog posts going on.  But tons of designs I want to share this month of all my wonderful customers, it has been a busy busy season so far this year, so fun to see all the new trends etc.  I’m loving it!

I’ve also been working some new products, so I thought I would share one of those today.  This is our new “Spot Gloss” coating.  This is so fun because if you want a little shine and shimmer but don’t want a high gloss invitation, you can order spot gloss to go on anything you want.  For example I used a spot gloss on the names in this save the date.  It kind of give the gold an extra “pop”, almost giving that foil look some shine and shimmer even though it’s not real foil.  And the great thing about it, it doesn’t cost anywhere near what real foil costs.  As low as $.06 cents per piece.  Aside from adding it to text we could put it on any design elements you want, so many fun possibilities.  I’ll be sharing some more later this week.  We will be adding the spot gloss option to our order form very soon.  Samples are going out in our sample packs now, so if you want to see what it looks like in hand, order a set today!

Blush Pink Garden Wedding Inspiration

I think the number one color request in wedding invitations I’ve had this year is blush pink along with colors in the same range, coral, soft coral, pinks and peaches.  Our custom invitation set below represents those colors perfectly.  It also showcases some simple flourish designs to give it a little bit of a garden or summer look and feel.  I found this lovely inspiration board on Fab Mood, they have endless ideas for any wedding, but I thought this one was especially beautiful.

Tribal Chic Wedding Invitation Set

My favorite color is turquoise.  If I were to design an invitation for myself I would for sure choose turquoise, and probably some navy blue oh and I’m loving coral right now too.  I also love my pearl paper so I wanted to design an invite set that would show off not only those colors but my pearl paper.  I thought the perfect way to show the pearl was to simply have a white background in the design.  This design has a little bit of a tribal chic look to it with the feathers and the little flower details in the text.  This set was designed to be used for my sample packs, so if you want to see one in hand simply visit my website and fill out a sample request form.   This design was also just posted to my gallery, so you can order it today!  Of course the colors can be changed to your own favorites or your wedding colors if you would like!

Spanish Barcelona Wedding Invitation Set

Yesterday I shared a beautiful inspiration shoot with a Spanish style theme.  I really enjoyed creating the invitation set to match.  I wanted to keep it classic and beautiful but still have a summer and Spanish look and feel to it.  That’s why I used reds, orange and peaches.  I couldn’t help but think of a poppy so I wanted to include those some how along with some lace detailing.  I also haven’t done many custom maps for customers so I wanted to showcase that as an option as well.

If you love this design purchase it now on my website and save 5% on your order, mention this blog post or enter coupon code BARCELONA SAVE5.

Thank you Leslie Dawn Events for putting together this beautiful shoot and thank you Stephanie Sunderland for the amazing photos.

New Custom Envelope Liners

Today I’m excited to be sharing our newest wedding invitation product – Custom Envelope Liners.  These envelope liners are so fun because they can be printed with whatever you want.  (A few ideas are pictured below.)  These liners work perfectly with any 5×7″ Invitation envelope that has  square flap.  (We will be offering liners for contour flap envelopes as well.)  These liners also have a peel and stick feature, so very easy to use.  Envelope liners are great because they just add a little bit of extra elegance to complete the invitation set.

Custom Envelope Liners

You can have a liner designed to match your invitation suite with a simple pattern or print or I especially love the idea of using an engagement photo, it will be the first thing guests will see when they open your envelope.  Another idea is to create a custom monogram or logo with the bride and groom’s names.  They can be anything you want!  So if you are looking for something unique, that will make a great first impression for your wedding event be sure to order your custom envelope liners with your invitation set.  Pricing will be up on our website later today.
