I love the endless possibilities with wedding paper and design. I’m so happy that Matt and Chelsie chose me to design their wedding invitations – which also led to menus and programs. I haven’t done many square tri-folds in the past simply because not many people ask for them (it does cost a little extra for postage to mail square envelopes.) I adore how this set turned out. I just needed a little inspiration from the client, colors, overall look and feel and then I added a little bit of my own touch. So many fun personal details were included, like the fall leaves, perfect for an October wedding. They also requested that I somehow include an image of the wedding venue, they really liked the old vintage door at the winery. I wasn’t sure how I was going to make their request a reality, I don’t have photos on hand of venues from states hundreds of miles away from me. But I spent some time looking and looking for not only a nice image but one that had a high enough resolution that would print well, that was not easy. But as I searched through the photos on the facebook page of winery I was able to find a few that worked perfectly, I was so happy I found those, I wanted to make sure their vision of the perfect invite came to life. Then it was time for me to draw out the map. I drew every detail in illustrator and then highlighted the main points of interest, such as the church, the venue and the accommodation locations. I also designed a matching rehearsal dinner card to go with the set. I love the end result.
When you order custom with me, I know you may be thinking it might not be worth it, but rest assured, I put in the time and effort to make sure you get exactly what you want, down to every last detail. Simply share your ideas, and leave it up to me to put it all down on paper 🙂
Congratulations Matt and Chelsie, I wish you all the best!!!
From my sketch book to a wedding invitation. Trying a few different things lately, I wanted to come up with spring invitation suite that wasn’t too bold and over the top but subtle in design and color but totally says spring. I thought I would use some flowers that I have drawn in my sketch book. I outlined the images in black ink and took a photo. From there I was able to remove the outline of the flower from my photo and create a beautiful flower graphic that be used as a nice accent in any design. For this design I overlayed the flowers with a pretty light pink and soft pastel blue. The gold foil look in the names also gives it a modern/trendy look. These invitations also look amazing on our pearl paper, it gives the white a nice subtle shimmer, I love it! Order this design now, just in time for your spring wedding. www.jeneze.com.
Sometimes a clean and classic wedding invitation suite is perfect for a traditional formal wedding. The design was customized with a cute heart monogram with the couples initials along with their wedding colors of silver, white and turquoise. Congratulations Amanda and Aaron, I hope you had the perfect wedding!
I wasn’t sure what to call this one, the design is completely unique and custom for Danielle and Andy. This one gave me a bit of a challenge with some very specific design requests, but in the end I think it all came together perfectly. The couple wanted their event to sound like a really good time to be had by everyone invited, they also wanted me to include an infinity sign, peacock feathers and royal colors. Congratulations to this adorable family!
This is what Danielle had to say about her invitations:
“I wanted funny unique wedding invitations, but I had no idea where to begin. I found Jeneze Designs on Etsy and she completely customized my vision within a few emails! Every detail I mentioned was in there and the response time was fantastic. I was impressed and my family and friends LOVE them!! Thank you so much!”
My favorite color is turquoise. If I were to design an invitation for myself I would for sure choose turquoise, and probably some navy blue oh and I’m loving coral right now too. I also love my pearl paper so I wanted to design an invite set that would show off not only those colors but my pearl paper. I thought the perfect way to show the pearl was to simply have a white background in the design. This design has a little bit of a tribal chic look to it with the feathers and the little flower details in the text. This set was designed to be used for my sample packs, so if you want to see one in hand simply visit my website and fill out a sample request form. This design was also just posted to my gallery, so you can order it today! Of course the colors can be changed to your own favorites or your wedding colors if you would like!
This custom invitation set was so much fun! A lot of work combing all of the fonts and making sure the text fit just right, but it turned out great! I love the little splash of gold! Sounds like it would have been an amazingly fun celebration! Congratulations Stacy and Kwane! I loved designing your invitations!
Happy Monday! Excited to have a great week, lots of fun things to share and new orders and projects to work on.
Today I am sharing a custom order that I designed a few months ago for Darcie and Brayden. They wanted to use a lot of photos for the arrangement on the back and wanted me to give it a vintage look and feel while using their wedding colors, mint and pink.
If you are looking for a unique layout for your photo invitations no one else does photo invitations like us. Completely custom, won’t find this style anywhere else.
Congrats Darcie and Brayden! I hope you had an amazing wedding! Thanks for choosing Jeneze for your invitations!
One question that I get asked quite often is if I can change the colors on my existing invitation designs that you see in my gallery. The answer is an absolute YES, of course you can. We not only create all of our designs but we personally edit each one to work perfectly for you. So if you see a design that has grey but want it to be pink, then no problem, we can make it pink. Plus we can change font styles too, fonts can make a big difference in the overall look of the design, that’s why we provide a list of options and offer professional advice on what will work well together. I may need to save a blog post about fonts another day. But I wanted to show a few samples of color changes in one design.
In the photo invitation below you can see that the overall look and layout is the same but colors and font styles have been changed. The design for Haley in the bottom right corner was clean and simple with neutral colors. The photo to the left for Whitney was designed with her wedding colors in mind using blue and yellow. The top two designs I used colors that would compliment the photos nicely. Sometimes your designer may want to see your photos and lay everything out to see if some colors would work better than others and when we see a different option that we think works better we will send you proofs of those different options so you can decide what you like best.
The typography invitation set below also shows some changes in color and fonts. The design on the far right for Jeni was customized to her taste in font style, something a little more modern and fun. However this type of invitation style won’t work well with some fonts such as cursive fonts for example. The all caps font is what gives it the overall look and style, a cursive font would throw off the spacing and words would not fit as uniform as they are.
Hopefully this post provided some more detailed information on color changes to your wedding invitations. But if you have any questions you can always contact us, we are happy to help.
Every order we design gets proofs sent directly to your email within 1-2 business days. That way you can look everything over, make sure the colors are right and see if what you picked out is what you wanted. If not, we can fix it so it is what you wanted. Our store is also set up so you don’t have to order a design that we already created, you can combine several invitations into one or we can create something from scratch, exactly what you want. If you do order a 100% custom design we will send multiple options so you can tell us what you like and don’t like and we narrow things down until it is perfect.
